For a healthier digital life you have to protect your online privacy. This workshop covers the basics of digital security and how to protect your data: Learn about your digital footprint, the most common online threats and simple tactics so you can defend yourself from them.

You’ll also learn about Open Source alternatives for commonly used apps and platforms, which are not profiling your data and don’t use you as a product, but are sustained by communitites.

Workshop topics:

– Digital security (most common threats | how to protect yourself)
– Your digital footprint and why privacy is important
– Open Source (basics of the movement and its community | healthier social networks/alternatives)
Practical Part: Exploring open source apps and tools

You’ll leave the workshop with:

– Peace of mind regarding your data

– Connections to a community that cares about digital freedom

No previous experience or knowledge is needed.

Language: Mainly due to the technical nature of the workshop, the main language will be English, but we can assist people who are not fluent.
