Join visual artist Beth Walker for a hands-on workshop exploring live visual performance using liquids and projection.

After a brief presentation on the history and continued evolution of Liquid Light Shows, Beth will introduce a range of inks, paints and chemicals – demonstrating the beautiful effects and reactions they can produce.

You will have the opportunity to create visuals using  a live digital camera feed, as well as an analogue technique with an overhead projector. We will also explore the layering of multiple projections, and the use of VJ software to mix and blend inputs.

These techniques are perfect for bringing magic and atmosphere to clubs, galleries and many other settings. The workshop will emphasise playful experimentation and the tactile, reciprocal qualities of working with light and liquids.

All materials will be provided, and all levels of experience are welcome. You can contact Beth with any questions on [email protected]
